Having a baby is a wondrous moment in time, full of exhilaration, and breathtaking love. It can also be a stressful time.
With great empathy and care, I am well trained to adapt to the hospital environment whilst also ensuring you have professional and treasured keepsakes to look back on.
SCHEDULED TIMES
Although I do aim to be at Kareena most week day mornings, scheduled paid shoots outside of Kareena or Kareena Home Sessions take precedence. To ensure that you receive your complimentary session, bookings are best done in advance.
When I first see new mums and dads, I discuss the options of having either a complimentary hospital shoot, or perhaps scheduling a Home Session within the comfort of your home or my studio.
COMPLIMENTARY IN-HOUSE HOSPITAL SESSION
Every Kareena client is offered a complimentary session in-house. This is in the privacy of your own room and is traditionally done on day 3 or 4, depending on your hospital stay. Generally, most mums are discharged on day 5 or 6, and other factors may come in to play such as premmies or bubs that require the Special Care Nursery.
Your in-house session will run for approximately 45 min - 1 hour, and will yield on average 15-20 images a session. Professional equipment such as backdrop, wraps, tiebacks and blankets are used, and you don't have to bring anything - unless you have something special such as grandma's handmade shawl!
As time is shorter than an average shoot, if you require siblings/family shots, I do ask that you book a Home or Studio session.
KAREENA HOME SESSIONS | $100
Whilst in-house sessions are complimentary, a session fee of $100 is required for Home Sessions. This is for my time and talent, and is considerably discounted from my usual fee.
These sessions are traditional Newborn Sessions which can take approximately 2-3 hours. Extra equipment is used including a newborn posing pod and other props. A sunny light-filled room is required for these sessions.
STUDIO SESSIONS | $100
I am now offering studio sessions held in Woronora. This is a beautiful sun-filled space with an abundance of newborn props, wraps etc. Again, these sessions will take approximately 2-3 hours. Studio Sessions for Kareena clients are $100 and are booked in advance pending availability.
FAMILIES & SIBLINGS
Home and Studio sessions also include family and sibling images at your request. For siblings under school age this can be very daunting and if in their own environment at home may open up a little more; however in studio I do have a range of toys and a large TV to relieve the boredom! Due to the nature of hospital shoots, family and siblings are only for home/studio sessions.
