Newborn Hospital Sessions

Who says you need to have simple hospital photo’s?

Don’t get me wrong, I love those simplistic lifestyle images that are commonly called “fresh 48” sessions, and there are many lifestyle photographer’s who are totally whiz-bang at it.

I guess it’s just my style that I deliver something a bit different, especially in a hospital environment, and lets face it, the new i-phones these days have quality camera’s and a whole lotta filters that are pretty cool too. I like to think I can provide a different service that is a bit outside the norm.

I’ve always been a posing type of gal, and even my minimalistic hospital shoots are strategically tailored to posed shots, with soft fabrics and wraps. I run my hospital sessions as if I were in studio - albeit a little short, and I can’t see why you can’t get those beautiful curly poses as if they were.

As you can imagine it’s a little difficult to bring in a plethora of equipment, I’m not lugging around baskets and bowls through the hospital corridors but you will see these in my galleries. Ah the magic of photoshop!
Over the years I’ve become pretty good at it, if I do say, although I don’t do these lightly - I tend to shoot for these particular arty shots if they work.

So there you have it! There is nothing simple about it, there is no stripey hospital blanket or plastic bassinet, just your little cherub as a work of art.
